Why is nature so important to me?
Nature is a spiritual place, a place filled with beauty and life. Nature should be important to everyone. It is a space where we can breathe clean air, reflect on things that matter and rejoice what we have been given. Ancestors long before me have discovered sacred places within the United States, they had the foresight to give these spaces to the American people. Today, our world has evolved, people in leadership threaten this gift. Presidents have the power to allow people and companies to endanger this natural blessing that has been gifted upon us. It’s up to us to take care of this land, not only for us to enjoy in our lifetime, but future generations that are equally deserving of this gift. I am most proud of, learning of the negative effects these decisions bring to tribal lands and wildlife, something I knew little about. I created this site not only to bring awareness of the threat to our parks and monuments by oil and gas, but also indigenous tribes and nature who count on this land.
By exploring this site, I hope you too choose to protect our amazing gift. Or, have a better understanding of why I am so passionate about this topic, and feel I need to advocate for the protection of "America's Best Idea"..
